VemCore

Infrastructure · .net

Software institutions cannot buy off the shelf.

VemCore builds custom software, web platforms and SaaS for universities, faculties and businesses — then VemHost runs it in production. The same team builds every product in the Vem family, so clients hire a stack we trust with our own work.

What we build

Four kinds of work, one team.

01

Custom software

Systems built for how an institution actually works, when no product on the market fits. Specified, built, tested and handed over running.

02

Web builds

Sites and portals that stay fast on the connections your people really have, in English and French, on the phones they really use.

03

UI/UX

Interface and experience design for software people have to use every working day — not a template with a logo dropped in.

04

SaaS development

Multi-tenant platforms with accounts, billing and administration, built to be operated rather than demonstrated.

Proof

We are our own hardest client.

Every Vem product is specified, designed and built by this team, and VemHost keeps them in production. When one is slow, broken or hard to use, it is our problem before it is anyone's — which is how we find what breaks before a client does. You are hiring the stack we already trust with our own work.

What each one does is explained on the Vem family site.

How we work

Engagements, not subscriptions.

Scope

We agree what "done" means

Work is scoped and priced as an engagement, with what is delivered written down before anyone starts building.

Conditions first

Built for here

Patchy bandwidth, payment from a phone and two working languages are decided at the architecture stage, not patched on at the end. It is cheaper that way, and it is the only version that survives contact with real users.

After launch

We run what we build

VemHost keeps it in production — upgrades, backups and term-start load — so the people who wrote it are the people who keep it standing.

In production

Client work, named with permission.

The products above are our own. Engagements built for clients are listed here once the client has agreed to be named.

GWES

[PLACEHOLDER: what VemCore built for GWES, dates, outcome and permission to name — or move this entry to VemHost if the engagement was hosting]

Hosting and managed Moodle engagements — including the University of Bamenda Faculty of Science platform — are VemHost's work, not VemCore's.
